Selected work

Five brands. Five different problems worth solving.

Zandu Fast Relief

Emami — Group Brand Manager

~₹6 Cr first-year sales, recruiting younger consumers and arresting brand lapse
The tension
Traditional balms felt sticky and inconvenient to younger consumers, eroding the category's relevance with the next generation.
The insight
Format was the lever. A modern application experience, not a new claim, would bring younger users back.
The strategic move
Reposition Zandu's Ayurvedic heritage around long-lasting relief, paired with contemporary efficacy cues.
The work
Revived the gel and spray portfolio with contemporary packaging, built expert advocacy with the Indian Association of Physiotherapists, and stood up the brand's digital ecosystem — website, social, performance marketing and SEO/SEM.
My role Group Brand Manager, Emami — owned strategy, packaging, advocacy and the digital ecosystem end to end.

Mentho Plus Balm

Emami — Group Brand Manager

Incremental profitability improved premium pack mix while strengthening the brand's presence across Modern Trade and e-commerce
The tension
The brand was heavily dependent on the ₹2 SKU, which contributed nearly 80% of volumes and created a profitability constraint.
The insight
Shopper behaviour was evolving, with Modern Trade and e-commerce creating opportunities to move consumers towards higher-value packs.
The strategic move
Build a premiumisation strategy around higher-value packs, using channel-specific opportunities to improve the portfolio mix without losing the brand's core volume base.
The work
Introduced higher-value packs across Modern Trade and e-commerce, improving the premium pack mix while expanding Mentho Plus Balm's presence across modern retail channels.

My role Group Brand Manager, Emami — led the premiumisation strategy across Modern Trade and e-commerce.

Glucon-D

Kraft Heinz — Brand Manager

100 bps national market-share growth, plus 140 bps in Bihar within six months
The tension
An ageing "Energy" positioning was losing relevance to modern lifestyles, and Bihar — a core market — was underperforming.
The insight
Consumers wanted energy that fit an all-round life, and flavour was an untapped reason to buy more often.
The strategic move
Repositioned the ₹500+ Cr portfolio from "Energy" to "All-Round Energy" and led with flavour-driven innovation.
The work
Launched Mango Punch with a differentiated, thicker mouthfeel and refreshed packaging; ran a rural activation across 2,000+ villages in Bihar built on community education and distinct brand assets.

My role Brand Manager, Kraft Heinz — progressed from Management Trainee to own the ₹500+ Cr Glucon-D portfolio.
Brufen Power Spray key visual — one-shot technology, double strength

Brufen

Abbott — Brand Manager

~₹4 Cr first-year sales, establishing Brufen's entry into a new category
The tension
Growth was capped inside a price-regulated tablet portfolio, while product wastage remained an unresolved pain point for users.
The insight
Topical pain relief was a fast-growing category Brufen could credibly enter with a genuinely differentiated format.
The strategic move
Extend Brufen beyond tablets into a precision-application topical format, positioned on value for money.
The work
Developed a one-shot precision spray with a narrow-angle controlled nozzle, led cross-functional commercialisation — insights, product development, claims, packaging, regulatory — with Abbott's global teams, and launched regionally with Tiger Shroff.

My role Brand Manager, Abbott — led cross-functional commercialisation with Abbott's global marketing teams.
Little's baby care product range

Little's

Piramal — Category Manager

100% Modern Trade channel growth within six months
The tension
Offline growth on the ₹250 Cr baby care portfolio had stalled across diapers, wipes, feeding bottles and toys.
The insight
Shopper education, not product or price, was the real barrier standing between parents and purchase.
The strategic move
Redesign Modern Trade activation around education rather than promotion.
The work
Introduced Baby Care Experts and education-led in-store experiences across Modern Trade, and initiated development of a premium softer diaper variant.
My role Category Manager, Piramal — owned the ₹250 Cr Little's baby care portfolio.

Platforms live at launch — Swiggy and Zomato

India's functional beverage market had no organised, national Kanji brand. Fermented probiotic beverages were the whitespace — a category waiting for a brand to claim it.

Built RaiKulture from concept to commercialisation: product development, regulatory approvals, operations, brand strategy, pricing and go-to-market execution — all led end to end.

Launched as a freshly prepared fermented probiotic beverage, delivered through a cloud kitchen on Swiggy and Zomato — a digital-first route to market. Early traction was validated through consumer education, performance marketing and marketplace optimisation — the same discipline once applied to Zandu, Glucon-D and Brufen, now applied to a brand of her own.

How I think

A working philosophy, built brand by brand.

01

Find the whitespace

Every category has a tension consumers have learned to live with. That tension is where the opportunity sits.

02

Sharpen the reason to choose

A brand needs one clear, defensible reason to be picked over the alternative — everything else is noise.

03

Turn strategy into experience

A positioning is only as good as the pack, the spray nozzle, the shelf conversation it shows up in.

04

Build for the real world

Regulatory approvals, sourcing, margins, distribution — the unglamorous parts decide whether an idea survives.
